A Stop on the Way to LAX

While all of us try to get used to the hour time difference here in the states Becky and Auntie Mary are no doubt battling jet lag in China. Their 10 day excursion kicked off yesterday and before they flew out they stopped at the house for a couple of days. Mary has given her blessing to all of the design choices that have been made and trust me folks, that is not easy to come by

Even though Becky and Mary were in town Ken just kept right on working. While they ran around enjoying LA he supervised the installation of the bathroom tub deck and finished up Robert’s room, among other things.

: Paul Williams fabricated the stone all the way in Palm Desert.

: His guys did a great job installing.

: Calacutta Oro, marble of my dreams.

: All framed, ready for paint.

: Washing the remaining bits of popcorn off the ceiling.

: Wait until you see this in person, divine.

: The new kitchen hood.

: Mary and Becky discussing Wisconsin real estate over the phone with cousin Corey.

: Ken, a little upset with having to share his space in the spider shack.

: Me inspecting the job site.

: Ken prepared a nice guest room for his sister :)

: Mary, Ken and I in her guest room/ my bedroom.

: My first morning after sleeping at the house. Mary shared her room with me.
