The new windows were delivered yesterday. Ken started installing them and boy! do they look good. Upon tearing out the existing front window this afternoon, however, Ken discovered some se-e-e-e-erious termite damage. Not to be alarmed, he had repaired in a jiff. He also finished up the work we started on patching the existing wood floor. That guy is like Jeanie from “I Dream of Jeanie”, he just nods his head and it’s done, just like that.

New living room windows.

New dining room window, higher so you won’t see the underside of the table from outside.

Old kitchen window.

New kitchen window. Again, higher so we can create more counterspace by continuing underneath.

New master bath windows. My friend Jen’s genius idea to span the WHOLE width of the room to make it seem larger.

We used the flooring from the master closet since that will be expanded anyway. We’ll replace it with carpet.
Gee, not bad for a day’s work.
The termites schmermites have been munching on that window for 60-some years, and Dad just eliminates their supper club in an afternoon.
Yikes! Those were some hungry-ass-industrial-strength termites.
This house must be happy you adopted it. (Have you named the house yet?)
Yes Susie, the house’s name is Meebhouse
David and I want to know where Meebhouse got its name. Do tell!
Robert and I call each other meeb so, naturally, this will be the meebhouse. I’ll tell you the story about meeb another day
I’ve been following along all this time, and have been silent till now. Just wanted to say how much I’ve enjoyed all the happenings and updates. The place is going to be fantastic when it’s done.
Glad to hear you’re enjoying the updates, thanks Janet
We’ll make sure you’re on the invite list for the house warming party!
Holly Moley – those termites were in Wood Heaven!! Ken you’re one amazing man.
