Ken’s own words.
I know some of you may be apprehensive, shocked or appalled even but trust me; it’s going to be magnificent.
This whole “paint a room mango” thing happened way back in 2002 when Becky’s trusted designer Rudy insisted upon painting their powder bath this color. Ken had a minor heart attack and Becky went wild with delight. The end result was the two of them (and everyone else who laid eyes on it) falling in love with it. Like I have been with countless other things they’ve done throughout my lifetime, I was inspired. The first chance I got to paint an apartment I did. Now I’m never going back. I swear, from this point forward I will always have at least one room in my house painted “Youthful Coral” by Behr, even if I’m living in a cardboard box.
In fact just this year I’ve recommended it to three people and they all love it. My friend Alicia even recommended it to an artist friend of hers who had been searching for the perfect hue for a specific piece for months who then thanked her profusely upon it working out precisely as she had been envisioning.
To make a long story short, it may look a bit intense now but the feeling it gives you when you experience it is indescribable. Give color a chance
Whoa! Thank goodness for diffused light!
Seriously, I’m sure it’s going to be wonderful. I really appreciate that you added the pix of your current bedroom. SHEW!
That is bright! But, you’re a PRO and I trust you. Besides, you didn’t balk at me for painting my bathroom “Ruby Lips.” And I just LOVE it too!
(Now you’ve got me singing ZZ Top’s “Cheap Sunglasses” tune…)
I heart color too…can’t wait to paint my house with tons of it!! For now I will dream…
Very bold…….But I love it!!
Hey, who’s that army man on the right? Is that Ken?
oh nikki, you make me laugh when you don’t even mean to. all the pics in my current bedroom are old ones of my mom’s family. the “army man” is my grampa
I’m loving the color in every room. I’ve gotten to ‘peek ahead’ with photos from Ken, and the colors are incredible! I don’t ever want to see furniture in the place. The colors and trims and finishes stand alone.
I LOVE IT!!!!!!
do you recall our “deer hunter orange” bathroom in WI?
